2024

Ribolla Gialla

Characterized as a classic Napa Valley vintage, the 2024 growing season started off productively with winter rains saturating the soil and setting up the vines for ample nutrition and strong canopy growth.

A moderate spring allowed for sufficient natural canopy shade to offset several days of heat in the transition from summer to fall. A relatively early year compared to 2023, harvest commenced mid-August with white wine varietals from the Mt. Veeder Estate starting on August 19th. The Ribolla Gialla grapes were the second to last fruit harvested on August 29th with only 1.5 tons yielded

Winemaker Notes

The Crossroads Ribolla Gialla is intoxicating with lifted and savory notes of white pepper, fragrant white meadow flowers, and fresh watercress. Hints of poblano pepper add a subtle green spice, while layers of tangerine and mixed citrus fruits bring a bright and zesty lift to the aromatic profile. On the palate, this wine is both vivid and textured, offering notes of tangerine, pink grapefruit and underripe mango – all contributing a spectrum of tart, juicy, and slightly tropical notes. A bright salinity courses through the fruit profile adding a mouthwatering mineral edge and finishes with a subtle note of fresh tarragon. The texture is compelling with a slight grip and weight, keeping a focused energy to make the wine incredibly versatile with food or on its own. The 2024 Crossroads Ribolla Gialla is the best addition to any summer gathering, whether it is during a daytime pool party with light bites or an early evening summer pizza soiree!
